Mars rewatch
While waiting for ProDai 9 to download, I continued rewatching Mars. I just finished episode 8 and have a very very strong feeling that I'm going to end up marathoning through the rest before I watch anything else...
This was my first dorama and it completely took over my life when I originally watched it in the annoying c.10 minute segments through Youtube. Now I have it on DVD and though the picture or sound quality isn't that great (burned DVDs, so fairly grainy picture and not that good sound, though I suspect the original film material didn't have good sound either), still, the DVD picture watched on TV is infinitely better than anything on the tiny Youtube screen with off-sync sound!
After watching these eight episodes, I was also reminded of how truly awesome this series is. It even surpasses the original manga (the story is from it, but I don't like the art that much). I remember thinking it absolutely fantastic when I watched it, but since it was my first dorama, I didn't really have any other doramas to compare it with. But now that I've seen some more, it still is the most addictive and awesome drama I have ever seen.
BTW, why haven't there been any more Vic Zhou dramas lately? When is that new chef drama slated to start again?!!! Though I do hope he loses the horrible haircut he had in the recent SMAP variety show that he appeared in with the rest of F4 before the show starts filming..
