Recent reading

It's again been a while since I wrote anything about my recent reading. The largest chunk of my backlog consists of books 6-14 of Akimine Kamijyo's manga Samurai Deeper Kyo (86.-89., 93.-97.). Even though on the surface it might look like it's just one fight after another with some of the characters trying to determine who is the biggest badass

heh...i read vol 22 yesterday(so amazingly awesome on all levels) and they spend half a chapter with all the characters talking about how yuya's his weakness but she's out of her depth and tends to get used a lot(with Akira bringing up that people tend to take her hostage and Tora bringing up that he was one of those people) while off in the corner, Kyo was being his crass self and Yuya was yelling at him...too good.

Heh, that sounds great, and so typical of the characters :). I can't wait to read some more...

everyone but kyo and yuya knows kyo and yuya are nuts about each other. they'd probably never figure it out if it wasn't explained to them in words of one syllable.

LOL, that is so very true! I also like it how amused some of the other characters are by how oblivious they seem to be about it.

i swear it's their favorite conversational topic at times...with Kyo and Yuya 10 feet away.

there's one point where Kyo wants to leave her behind for her own good and everyone else is talking about them and tora is recounting what happened the LAST time he tried that(sea of trees) and you can just see Kyo deflating. And Yuya's still yelling at him for planning to leave her behind, of course.

You know that when even Hotaru is noticing something on the emotional level, like a relationship, it's got to be pretty obvious!

Hotaru think's Yuyas name is "Kyo's girl." Which cracked me up when he said it, and no one even noticed. Not even Tora or Akira.
