Finncon
Hmm, it seems I'm going to be a participant in the "Bollywood & SF" (or whatever it's called) panel at the Finncon this Summer, which I just discovered by checking out the program. Pretty interesting, since nobody had mentioned it to me...
While we were at the World Village Festival and the POTC movie, sassiefin asked me if I would be interested to participate in this particular panel and if the organizers had contacted me about it, but nothing was really set into stone. Now I discover my participance has been setttled already and is part of the program. I like the subject, so I'm going to participate anyway, but it would have been nice to get advance warning...
Now I'll have to go through the program to see if I've been put into some other program items without my knowledge :P.
Just one simple e-mail and I would have been glad to say yes, but I have to say it's fairly annoying to find out I've been included in some program event without any kind of advance warning.
I haven't even booked a hotel yet for Jyväskylä, so my attendance was very tenuous, even though I have set my Summer holiday to start a few days before Finncon. Would anyone like to share a hotel room? I understand there's a good chance that a lot rooms will become available about 1-2 weeks before the con when the advance reservations that haven't been confirmed are are nulled....
