Hana Yori Dango 2
I finally started watching Hana Yori Dango 2. Yes, I know I'm way behind, since everybody else has been watching it for weeks already. But better late than never :). (Well, I also need to make some room on my harddrive so that I can download the rest of the episodes in Taiyou no Kisetsu...)
Hee, loved Oguri Shun's entry, especially when she was screaming for "Domyouji" and it was Hanazawa Rui who turned up, pointy shoes and all *g*.
Yeah, righ, she doesn't miss Domyouji at all. Everybody who knows her can see through that lie.
That Junpei guy seems pretty suspicious, even though he's protecting Makino from the Eitoku fangirls. And then he assures Makino that the pictures taken at the studio won't get published anywhere, but, of course, they are.
It's so Makino that she is all when Hanazawa Rui catches Junpei hugging her after she has said they can be friends. She rushes off and leaves the magazine, so Rui sees the pictures. Hee, love the looks on both Hanazawa Rui & Domyouji's face when they see the photoshoot with Junpei. Love how jealous they both look.
It seems the Eitoku students can't count, since they start chanting "F4! F4" when it's clearly only F3 coming to the F4 Lounge opening...
OH, HANAZAWA RUI! He really is being an awesome friend when he suggests to Makino that she go to New York to find out why Tsukasa hasn't contacted her and to figure out how they really feel about each other.
Oh yeah, and Soujiro definitely became hot in the time between HYD1 and HYD2...
Eeeee! Hanazawa Rui and his squirt gun to the rescue *g*. New York really seems a small place, they way Rui can find Makino and come to help her at just the right moment :D.
But the OTP is the OTP. I loved the moment when Makino and Domyouji suddenly come across each other at the hot dog stand, and there's intense staring and disbelieving looks on both sides. And they just breathe each other's names and keep on staring at each other.
But when he opens his mouth, his first question is what is she doing there. And he doesn't look that happy to see her - poor Makino. Still, when he's leaving and his back is turned to Makino, he looks in great pain to just wish her a safe trip home. He was clearly shaken by the meeting, but pretends he doesn't care.
Heh, the way the F3 behave, it's almost like Makino is this cute pet they have adopted and must take care of. Akira saying that the mafia knows about her now, so she will be protected, Rui constantly feeding her and Soujiro saying they'll take care of Domyouji :).
Domyouji really is behaving weirdly here. He isn't even glad to see the other guys and is being very hostile towards them and even punches Soujiro. And while they are telling Makino this, I loved how Rui was in the background, just blowing bubbles in his juice :).
ROFL, "What do you want with our great Mr. Domyouji" !!! I can just see Domyouji making the guys call him that :D.
When Makino asks him about the red notice she got at Eitoku, it's obvious he has no idea what she's talking about. I thought there was something fishy about it, especially the way Junpei came to her rescue immediately afterwards. He clearly has some hidden agenda of his own.
But there is also clearly some hidden pain in Domyouji's life that's making him act all distant towards Makino and his friends. They way he looks at her it's clear he missed her, but he keeps brushing her off and says he can't play at her level anymore, since he is now an adult.
Ok, so that nightmare of some guy jumping off a building must have something to do with the way Domyouji is behaving now.
Then the other guys show up at his room and everything is right again between them. The other guys are asking Domyouji about the red note Makino received but he denies having had anything to do with it. I know it's that Junpei guy who pretends to be protecting her from the other students. He must have been behind it all.
The whole kidnap Makino and use her against Domyouji plot is a bit too reminiscent of HYD1 and doesn't really make that much sense in context. But whatever. After Domyouji's recent behaviour in New York, Makino knows he isn't coming to her rescue, so she has to rescue herself. But, awesome!, it's Tsubaki, Domyouji's sister to the rescue! She really is a great character!
Random observation: it's funny how everybody is always feeding Makino. Aww, at Tsubaki saying that Makino is already like a little sister to her and that Tsukasa must be somehow at fault for the distance between them. But then Makino says that she has decided to forget about Tsukasa after the way he has ignored for a whole year.
But then when Tsubaki is about to leave, Makino runs after her car and blurts out that she wants to tell her the truth after all: she really really loves Domyouji! And misses him and can't stop thinking about him. AWWW! *sniff*
Eeee! Hanazawa Rui playing the violin! *swoon*
How suspicious that Darth Kaede has instructed Nishida to personally deliver the invitation to Domyouji's birthday party to Makino. That woman really is evil! She's so clearly gloating when she sees Makino at the party and tells her to enjoy herself :P.
Rui's costume would be great if it weren't for that weird fringe... I like the way he says "Maakino" with that slight singing note.
The declaration that Tsukasa is to be wed is a shocker to everyone. He, too, seems completely bewildered. The evil woman continues that the bride-to-be is present at the party, and Soujiro wonders if it's Makino that Kaede means (of course it isn't). Shigeru seems just as surprised as everyone else when the spotlight suddenly lights on her :D. The way Kaede looked at Makino at the end of the episode really showed how she gloated over the situation. Then again, if looks could kill, she would be dead, the way Makino was glaring at her...
