I was too tired to finish Dhoom 2 on Thursday and yesterday I was at a workmate's going away party and didn't feel like watching it once I got home. Tonight I finally watched the rest, and it was great entertainment :).
I think this commentary is vague enough not to really spoil anything for anyone, so I'm not putting it under a cut.
Hrithik Roshan has never looked better than on this film, and he and Aishwarya Rai really scorched up the screen. That pairing stole the entire film, um, were there some other people in it as well ? His intro, when he goes to the nightclub to see Sunehra, the Russian roulette scene, etc. SCORCHING! The notorious kiss wasn't that special, but it fit the scene incredibly well.
Abhishek really didn't have much to do in the film and Uday was ok as the comic relief. Though I have to say that Hrithik can dance shirtless all the time, but Uday! EEUUUWW! "My Name Is Ali" had me cringing a lot! Still, *roffle* at Ali's Baywatch dream about life with Bipasha Basu's character!
"Crazy Kyare" is awfully catchy, I'm humming it even now... I also liked the "Dhoom Machale" remix "Dhoom Again". And Hrithik's dancing in the music video was incredible. I loved Bipasha's dress in the "Touch Me" song, very beautiful.
I like action movies, and there were a lot of extremely cool scenes in this film. I think the best ones were the beginning on top of the train and the rollerblade runaway sequence. Though I have to say that Jai Dixit must have gone to the Imperial Stormtrooper shooting school with the way he was shooting at everything else than Aryan *g*.
ETA: Oh yeah, the scene with Hrithik as a Greek statue was also extremely fitting (and amusing, because those guards really weren't the most vigilant ones....)
Hugely entertaining movie with a lot of beautiful people in it.
