Everything but the kitchen sink

It occasionally gets annoying when I'm too tired or lazy to do immediate comments on the books I read, because then I have this huge backlog to comment on, like today:

Allingham: Fashion in Shrouds, Duane: Stealing the Elf-King's Roses, Briggs: Moon Called )

diane duane, manga, huang yida, patricia briggs, albert campion, fma, jdrama, takizawa hideaki, books, doramas, youtube, wallflower, books07, video, satomi hakkenden, music

Briggs-I like the Mercy Thompson books, and decided to check out her high fantasy books as a result, and I think they're even better(book I read was Raven's Shadow) The second Mercy book, Blood Bound, came out a few weeks ago ( ... )

The second Mercy book, Blood Bound, came out a few weeks ago.

Yes, I think my friend mentioned she was thinking of getting it. If she does, I'll borrow it from her.

Heh, Wallflower would make a very fun drama, but getting the right person to play Sunako would be crucial to it. A jdrama could be fun, but I would be ok with a twdrama as well.

Yes, I was interested in the upcoming Condor Heroes thing. It's good to hear that SH was like a cdrama in feel. I remember you talking about the subs going bad in HJY.

I've noticed that several of the Malaysian dvds I've ordered have borderline understandable subs: most of the time they are understandable (though not that good), but sometimes they are just totaly gibberish and I can't make anything out of them.

FMA-I really want to know which part set Roy off...the serial killer part, or the crushing on Hawkeye part? Those two really are my FMA OTP, much as I love Ed/Winry.

Oh yes, mine, too.

I figured on what Roy really did as far as Ross goes right away(it was to un-Roy-like for it to be as presented, and I was very diappointed that Ed didn't detect any fishy)

That's why I though it was dodgy - it was out of character for Roy and I immediately suspected that Ross was still alive and that the corpse was only some kind of a dummy.

I think it was pretty understandable that Ed didn't pick up on it immediately, since he had only just heard of Hughes's death and probably wasn't at his sharpest after hearing the news. His own guilt and grief probably briefly clouded his judgment until he had more time to think about the situation.

I started shipping Roy/Hawkeye the second she tripped him because he was about to use his powers in the rain. And then told him he was useless in the rain. Because, let's face it, the only way anyone else would have lived through that was if it was Winry and she was using big puppy eyes.

And yeah, Ed was a bit emotionally distraught at the time. But you can bet Roy was pissed and disappointed with him.
