Snow Drop 4-6
I just read (2.-4.) books 4-6 of the Korean manhwa Snow Drop and it is my current bestest thing ever! I was planning on waiting for my payday next week until I get the rest of the series (6 more books), but I don't think I can wait that long now! LOVE it!
It would make a gorgeously angsty dorama as well, with all rivalry and (nude!) modeling and dysfunctional families and the cross-dressing little brother (whom I adore) and Ha-Da's relationship and so on and so on.
I can't wait to find out what the big secret about the Snow Drop book and the connection between the families really is. If I didn't know it has a HEA I would suspect that Hae-Gi and So-Na turn out to be siblings or someone dies in the end - it is Korean after all :).
Jin Sun-Mi really is a horrible person, and a very typical hateful third wheel character. Though it doesn't justify the rape attempt, Hwi-Rim at least has some excuse for his jerk-like behavious in his horrible family and the abuse he was forced to endure as a child.She doesn't even have that excuse. She's just self-centered and stupid and annoying.
Ha-Da and Ko-Mo are both so confused and hurt at this point in the series. It seems they really have strong feelings for each other, but find the thought of being gay or loving a man still too frightening and shocking that they try to deny their feelings the best they can - Ko-Mo especially.
I really hurt at the ending of book 6 where Ha-Da kisses Ko-Mo and Ko-Mo calls him a loser and leaves. In the next frame Ha-Da has hit the glass table so hard that it has broken and his hands are bleeding, and Ko-Mo is standing outside alone wondering why he likes Ha-Da so much. Sigh, an OTP with MAJOR ANGST! This would make a wonderful, wonderful dorama!!!!
