zebras

Yay. No PE quiz today. We had a pool tour instead (it didn't kill me! I didn't get that many rashes. woot). I was on the way to buy a water noodle when I saw books on sale. So of course I checked it out. And to my amazement, I saw a book called: Virus Hunter. It's written by C.J. Peters who's like an epidemiology demigod to me. (Yes, Tessa and Francine, THE C.J. Peters. It's too sad you're the only ones who can really relate and you weren't there to fangirl with me today.)

I quote: Common things occur commonly. Uncommon things don't. Therefore, when you hear hoofbeats, think horses, not zebras.
Ebola Reston (or Reston virus or Reston ebolavirus or whatever it's called now) was a zebra.

I just realized that I spontaneously fangirl over TEFU and YAOI and VIRUSES. It's a great realization. -.-

Anyway, Physics dislike is mounting once again. I hate the questions. I hate the way I'm answering them. I can't really say that something is not parallel because DUH, IT'S ACTUALLY PERPENDICULAR right? (It's on electric fields lines and equipotential lines.) Or maybe I'm just too tired to answer this. But I shouldn't put it off. It's due tomorrow. Baaaah.

geek mode-ness, just the need to rant
