Thursday = Crazyday
MBB is such a huge heart. I ♥♥♥ it so much now I'm no longer regretting why took it as a major. I can so feel that I'm an MBB major.
Ate Bianca (Our lab and, for the moment, lec teacher who doesn't want to be called 'Maam' but prefers to be called 'Ate'... 'Ate' is the Filipino counterpart of the Nihonggo 'Neesan' and Hangeul 'Unni'): Let's have the quiz now. Go answer the quiz before classes get suspended.
Class: Suspended? Why?
Ate Bianca: There's a coup d'etat in Makati.
Class: Really? (Me: How am I supposed to go home? I live there!)
Tessa: I want my lab. (Translate: I want my 6-hour silay)
So, yeah, we MBB kids are reclusive children. We don't know a thing about goings-on outside our tiny niche. Being apathetic is a talent we all must have.
Lab was crazy. I mean, you're supposed to be stressed if you're facing 6 strenuous hours of microbiology lab. But it was really fun. We were being very wasteful of tissue, ethanol and lysol just as always. Our group was also particularly wasteful of DISPOSABLE pipettes and of DISPOSABLE agar plates. (Yes. Disposable stuff amuse me. I DO NOT have to wash them and rinse them with distilled water and wait ages for them to dry because they're disposable, yes.) We are very spoiled kids and so now we complain due to the tediousness of other lab classes (fortunately, we only have one this sem: Biochem).
We wanted to do the blood agar, but, unfortunately, the Monday class did that for us.
Beng: I can still have my blood taken...
Ate Bianca: Hindi na kailangan.
Beng: D: Gusto ko talaga.
Yes. We wanted to do the blood agar. Maa... it looked so cool. It looked like strawberry. Hehe.
During the demo of clotted blood agar-making:
Ate Bianca: You have to be quick and extra careful in doing this because this may have viruses that the donor has.
Me: Viruses. *wide grin*
Tessa: Nyahahahaha.
As always, we were evil. After all, Thursday is 'let's BASH. BASH. BASH and BASH some more' Day. I actually resolve to find my center to reduce my evilness because I was, admittedly, evil over the past week.
Tessa: I'm not sure I'd like what I'd find in my center. XD
After all the isolation methods, Ate Bianca gave us free time to wait for the decontamination of the stuff. So we were very much like lost children loitering in the MBB corridor doing a lot of things. We sang. The guys slumped/sprawled on the floor. The guys played Luksong Baka. Ahahahaha. I feared for Bram's life, yes, when Gabby jumped over him. Truly scary. Then, we played 'Spin the Bottle'/'Truth or Consequence'. Of course, no one asked Tessa THE QUESTION. No one dared. But I was asked the possibly most horrible question. And Beng got the possibly most horrible dare and also an evil version of my question. XDDD
Ciara: Sino ba ang nagcoconsequence dito? Si Beng o tayo? (Who's really doing the consequence? Beng or us?)
Aids: Oo nga, eh. (Aids made a second the motion.)
Beng: Narinig ko yon. *pouts* (I heard that.)
Unfortunately for him, I had my camera so I had it on video... Blackmail material. Mwahahahaha. >:)
And I heard that Miles did a Beng-and-Mrs. Roderos thing (in lieu to Beng's question) at the utility room.
Miles: Beng, anong pangalan nito... bakit ka nakahubad? XDDDDD
Too bad I wasn't there to watch Miles do that. We were washing glasswares where there was a thorough discussion of 'Brokeback Mountain'.
Beng: Bakit nga kaya Brokeback ang tawag dun?
Bram: Baka na-break ang back sa sobrang tindi...

Kris Kringle (I think it's the German version of Secret Santa?). Theme was something SOFT. Someone gave a SOFTdrink. I gave out a B pencil... because B pencils have SOFT lead. A lot of people gave food. I couldn't find the SOFT and squishy version of my initial idea so I'd give it out for something HARD. *nods* And I got a pack of chocolate-coated caramel cookie. Yum. Of course I was hungry. I'm always hungry. I heard receiver say that he likes the gift I gave (though, of course I'm not supposed to know who he is), so, yeah, I'm glad. *nods*
