Well, Safari and Yahoo are friends again. YAY!!!
Yesterday, Dr. Bascos (female) talked to us (Francine and I) to tell us that we're accepted in the lab to work with Malaria. We'll be working on different projects, though (which we decided by drawing lots). And then... she told us we can watch Ate Karen (our lab's research assistant) extract DNA from Malaria falciparum and we very nearly squealed. We had to contain our squees till Ma'am Bascos was out of earshot.
Also, Tessa, Gabby and Omar are now taking care of cancer cells. So now, Francine and I are usually found telling people: We have Malaria. They have cancer! Woot!!!! (Because of this, I cracked Paulo's I'm-trying-to-annoy-you grin. Bwahahahaha.)
And then there's Scientia. It's not so bad. Our new EIC, Carlo C. (lol, they rhyme!) said not so pleasant *cough*mean*coughcoughcough* things about the other Culture Editor, which surprised me... but made me and Tessa go: OMG. You win! I love you for saying that! XD
I know I shouldn't relax, though, since we haven't started with the real work yet (which, for me, is basically telling people to write and reminding them to submit on time). I just really, really hope that I'll be able to finish the TeFu fics for Valentine's Day and for Fuji's birthday. They're both collabs with
a1y-puff too.
UGH. TOMORROW IS DOOMSDAY. We'll have double MBB141, which is really, really bad because the teacher doesn't discuss topics. Instead, we spend the entire time answering problems, most of which don't make sense, and we also spend it praying: Please, don't let him call me. Don't call me. Don't call me. DON'TCALLME!!!
Tomorrow, lots of us will most likely be called so the mantra will have to be: Don't call me for the 35th problem. Not 35. Not me. Not 35. Lol.
We all agree that this is the coldest January of our lives. (Well, at least the coldest January in the modern history of the Philippines). I want to be like Fuji *points at header*. He's a bear. He hibernates. I want to hibernate too!!!
