I'll also try to make as many of these as possible about Due South.
1) Pizzas and Promises - I love the coded talk on the radio ("The fox is in the cave") and Fraser's daring underwater rescue of Ray, and of course the wonderful apprehension of Mrs. Markles at the end ("Is she dead?" "Ah HATE men." "No, just disappointed.").
2) Picture - The picture of his family that Fraser gets as a Christmas present in Good for the Soul. It feels like a peace offering.
3) Speaking of which, Peace Officer! I think it's a much nicer name for policeman. And I love the scene where Fraser recites the administration manual in Seeing is Believing.
4) Pistol - The scene where Fraser catches the pistol out of the air and shoots the dive masks so the bad guy can't escape in Mountie on the Bounty? Guh, that is hot. It's a good thing we don't see Fraser holding a gun in too many episodes, because I would have turned into a gibbering pile of goo long ago.
5) Paducci, Joey. I think he's one of the best "clients" on Due South because he seems so...well, normal, so not a Mary Sue. He's just trying to make a living, raise a family, and he was just too scared and/or law-abiding to strike back when Zuko started strangling his business. I love that he's scared to death at the safe house and the bus station (as any normal person would be). And he's not hard on the eyes either.
6) Pork Roast with Plum Sauce. Yum. I made this for dinner and had the leftovers for lunch. Dee-lish. (Not Due South. Oh well.)
7) Paul Gross. Well, duh! Of course I love Paul Gross. I'm not sure I'd be as big a fan of his if I hadn't seen Due South first, but he is a very good actor. His Hamlet was exquisite.
8) In the same vein, Gordon Pinsent. What a great guy. I got to see him do a reading of the play "Art" with Paul Gross and Kenneth Welsh in Uxbridge a few years ago, and it was A-MA-ZING.
9) Perfume - that is, the perfume that Thatcher is NOT wearing in "All the Queen's Horses." Also, it seems odd that Fraser's first guess is Escada, a high-end designer label I didn't even know existed until a few years ago. Fraser certainly knows everything about everything, doesn't he?
10) Partnership - Fraser's partnership with both Rays. I love Fraser and the show couldn't have existed without him, but I think if Fraser were working alone, we'd never find out anything about him because he is not exactly a Chatty Cathy.
