the laws of thermodynamics:
1. no energy is ever created or destroyed
2. entropy (or disorganization) in a closed system (or society) increases over time, unless the system seeks to maintain the organisms in the system or let the organisms die
these laws have everything to do not just the physics of heat and work. but with labor, industry and workers. think about it.
*today's unforgiving gross abstraction is brought to you by some crazy sociologist, but let's not deny that it might be an interesting thing to chew on.*
