More Fun With The In-Laws!
Last night the phone rings while we have company. The hubby starts talking and I assume it's the MIL calling to see when we'll be over next. Hubby's talking kinda oddly, mostly ah~huh's and oh yeahs. I ask him who it is and he says it's the SIL. He talks for a few minutes more and then hangs up. I asked him what she wanted and he tells me that they are moving back north sooner than planned. They are moving here in March. OK, cool, I think. Well, turns out they are moving back north and moving in with their mom and dad. And that this week when the neice comes up for her February vacation, she'll be staying there until they move back (but only until they "get on their feet and find a place"). I'm like WTF are they thinking?!??! For one, SIL's man can't get along with her parents for more than 5 minutes at a time, 2, neither can SIL, 3 the in laws were just starting to get along again and enjoying themselves and actually LEAVING THE HOUSE. It's just stupid. She is THIRTY TWO years old!! With a nearly 10 year old child! And another on the way!
Of course I know why they are doing this. There's a lot of reasons they're doing this. See, SIL didn't really raise her daughter, her mom did most of it. SIL basically did most of the fun bits, some of the hard bits and the rest of the time used her mom as a built in babysitter (then wondered why her mom was dysfuncionally attached to her daughter and wanted to keep her as her own). She's scared to death of having to actually WORK at being a parent. She's tired of not having someone to dump her kids on when her and her man need alone time to boink their brains out. Secondly, this way, nothing is in her man's name, so she can apply for all the state welfare she can get, lets soak that system people!!! Thirdly, they are just damn lazy and don't want to have to work for anything.
One thing is for certain, I don't want to hear ONE SINGLE bitch out of either her or her man about how horrible her mom is. You have the ability to NOT be there, if you don't like it, get some freakin ambition and get off your lazy ass and DO something for yourself. Stop expecting other people to clean up your messes for you.
