I know, I know. It's been 3 weeks. What do you want me to do about it?

I've been working, working, never stopping, never sleeping. 3 days a week at ABC, 4 days a week at Gap. I'm burnt out. Summer's almost over and I haven't experienced a summer-y day yet.

Enrique and I went to my first Yankees game last week. Yanks vs. the Mets so you know it was a good game. Yankees won and we took some awesome pictures that night. I don't know why, but baseball games are just really romantic. I felt like it was a first date, all giddy and child-like. I enjoyed that time I got to spend with him, as I don't have a lot of time to do things like that these days.

The Fourth was amazing, too. We sat on my roof and watched the Macy's fireworks et off in the East River with Patrick, Jenny and Eddie. We could only see the top half of all the fireworks, but I supposed that if you know what the top half looks like, you can imagine the bottom half--they all look the same after awhile.

We also saw the Notebook the day it came out, and then saw it again 5 days later. Call it corny if you wish, but Nicholas Sparks is his favorite author and the Notebook had been his favorite for years so when he found out there was a movie, naturally he was excited and coaxed me to read the book as well. I found myself finishing it three days later (only becuase he wouldn't let me read it any faster because he said I wouldn't enjoy it as much). It's a beautiful story, as predictable and unoriginal as you might think it is.

Summer reading count:
The Notebook
Confessions of a Shopaholic
Shopaholic Takes Manhattan
Shopaholic Ties the Knot
The Lovely Bones (in progress)

(Just catching up on overdue easy reads...)
