It's all real-- I knew it!
Last night Vali and I made tempeh "chicken" fingers, noodles and kale and settled down to watch Disney's Beauty and the Beast. She'd never seen it before and I haven't seen it in years and we both enjoyed ourselves a lot.
The actress who played the wardrobe, Jo Anne Worley, rang a few bells but we knew not from where, so we decided to check imdb & Wikipedia to jog our memory. Turns out she was born in Lowell, Indiana, was referenced several times on MST3K, and is on the board of directors for Actors and Others for Animals. The organization, founded by *Richard Basehart* (aka MST3K Gypsy's zomg pretend bf) and his wife, is active in low-cost spay/neuter throughout LA. Also on the board of directors is EARLLLLLL HOLLIMANNNNNNN, who was definitely in Police Woman and you can't take that away from him.
Indiana, MST3K, and spay/neuter activism all collided last night into one massive singularity. We decided to have a little lie-down to watch Attack of the (the) Eye Creatures to recover. I fell asleep about 10 minutes in. Not a criticism, mind, I just sleep better with the white noise of Mystery Science Theater 3000.
