Broadband
Well, I finally took the plunge and installed broadband at Lyle Towers. Admittedly this is largely due to encouragement from Lucy, but visitors will appreciate the convenience and I might even get to use it myself on odd occasions. On Saturday night there was a fire in the roof of a house a few doors down from Lyle Towers. I was awakened at 2am by what I thought were yobs kicking back gates, but when I went out to investigate I saw billows of smoke and flames too issuing forth. I joked that perhaps they were growing pot up there and today's local paper says two 24 year-old men were arrested for producing cannabis from the house! All that billowing smoke ..
One of their cats, Fabrella, frequently comes to Lyle Towers during the day to sleep ... or chill ... and turned up as usual after the fire, no singed whiskers.
