I'll admit that I burst out laughing right there. Genius. I enjoyed this, I liked the accents and the story. Great job. ♥

ALSO: Someday maybe Sopranos/SPN crossover. YES.

Because can't you just picture Dean in Bada Bing? And the boys thinking they're hunting a monster and then it's really just Tony Soprano. Uh-huh. I can totally see it. I can just picture Tony bitching about Dean's car, "Get that pile of junk out of my drive." and then Dean hates him forever.
Also Dean/Adriana crossover. LOL. I'll stop.

Admittedly I haven't seen The Departed since it first came out, so my memory of what actually happens/who everyone is is a bit hazy, but this was a great fusion. And a fusion of so many other wondrous things as well; I'd quote favorite quips and references but I think that would make this comment far too long and ridiculous. I think my favorite, favorite aspect of this fic was its placement in S4 and Ruby and Hell, though--because as a fusion its outside of the larger SPN mythology, in place of another skin and another flavor. And yet it's still there. The way you intertwine so many different sources here is gorgeous.
Thank you for sharing!!

Yes, I think we both really like writing in that place in S4, and we debated a lot about where/when to set it, but this placement worked out perfectly.

The way you blended the universes (and your writing!) together was really excellent, the banter was well-done and fun, and I think s4 was the perfect era to set this in. Very nice job.

I never watched The Departed (yeah, I know, I'm probably one of two who didn't) but this here is awesome!
It' so bleak and it hurts to think back to the time where Sam and Dean were so far apart even when sitting next to each other, and the tie-in to the movie was - even if I didn't recognize all the stuff - so well done that I kinda expect some references to the Winchesters in the movie.
Also, the jokes were hilarious!
