I wanted to write about the most expensive Indian movies ever made. For a minute, lets set aside inflation and lets look at the raw cost of the movie. Lets do the hindi movies first. I have not updated myself on this. But so far, this is what I know ( Read more... )

dint realize the movie was made in 1995. But the inflation from 1995-2008 is close to 40%. So a $7 million movie would be more $10 million now, which is about 50 crores. Almost comparable to high budget movies. but then again, a $10 million movie isnt a high budget movie for hollywood. But in the 95's, desparado was definitely bigger than your average movie.

Superstar signature is usually one of the things that you always find in a rajnikanth movie. For example, if he shoots a bullet, it hits one villian, rebounds and hits 10 other and so on. Thats the common factor in both the songs that I tagged. But ofcourse, the guys who did golmaal wanted to have a song in their film similar to the one in sivaji. I havent seen Desparado. I have seen several clips on it on youtube. But never watched the movie in one stretch. How can you not watch the salma hayek clips :P
