Absolutely, Miz Wood! :-)
Not sure if Mr. Isaacson would remember me at all from those days, to be honest...a Filipino punk rock kid in Ginsberg's Beat Lit and poetry classes? Hmph, doubtful. He may recall a guy named Giancarlo Malchiodi who was doing his MFA at the time--I used to be on Giancarlo's editorial staff for a literary journal he pulished called EXCURSUS...I don't think we were around for more than 2 issues...3 issues *tops*. Oh, the slush pile...all the fucking nature poetry...yay.
Nevertheless, I remember Bruce Isaacson. He was a cool dude, as I recall...none of that bedraggled hippie/neo-hippie vibe I'd pick up from others in the Brooklyn College English department. He seemed like he'd have a passing familiarity with the music of Lou Reed, Iggy and The Jim Carroll Band, actually--though he and I never did discuss music. So, I kinda took it on faith (based on vibe alone) that the poets he liked didn't utterly suck... ;-)
Anyways--for my part, consider yourself added!
Welcome to my LJ--please excuse the clutter and mess...

Okay, I'm adding you. Lou Reed and Iggy would probably be Danielle's influence on Bruce, and Jim Carrol would undoubtedly be mine. Danielle used to be Bruce's roomate, and I was "best friends" with Danielle, so I was over there all the time. THis was when we were all in our twenties. I think it's time for me to go to sleep now. After I add you, of course.
