The other post!
The first game was Villanova shutting down Oklahoma harder than they put down UNC-Asheville. Buddy Hield's previous four tourney games involved 27, 36, 17, and 37 points. He scored all of nine against Villanova. Not a game I should have missed, but not a terrible one to miss as it turned out.
The second game was North Carolina letting Syracuse hang around for the first ten minutes before pulling away 83-66. I caught enough of this game to realize I should be playing more videogames instead.
The quick updates to the running tallies:
- Big East: 1-0 this round, 8-4 overall, and please stop teabagging Oklahoma's corpse, that's impolite.
- Big XII: 0-1 this round, 11-8 overall, done, and hey I said STOP THAT
- ACC: 1-1 this round, and a gaudy 19-6 overall. If they didn't have to play their own teams at some point, this might actually have been worse. *shiver*
Here's hoping Villanova wins, because as much as I'd like to forget about this tournament (41% bracket, last team in the draft was Kansas, second round sucked, tournament selection committee is dumb), it'll be even more forgettable if North Carolina gets told to stow their national championship banner shortly after winning it.
