AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGHHH *tosses bracket into trash* *spikes OSU sweatshirt down laundry chute*
...
...ahem.
So, breakdown by conference:
Big (L)East: 1-1 this round, 10-10 overall. Your hopes rest on UConn for a .500 record, which aren't bad since they survived San Diego State and Duke went down to Arizona in a beatdown.
Big Ten: 0-2 this round, 7-7 overall. Butler removed Wisconsin playing Wisconsin's game with ease, while OSU's last second shot was taken by Buford. RAGE
SEC: 2-0 this round, 6-3 overall. Kentucky survives, Florida has no problems. I am so pissed over the former.
ACC: 1-2 this round, 8-3 overall. Duke goes down and how. Florida State is the next CAA Rage(tm) victim. UNC remains, and yeah another UNC/Kentucky game. :-p
Big XII: 1-0 this round, 5-4 overall. Kansas played Richmond, and the expected happened. On the one hand, they are the last of my Final Four teams in the tourney...nah, FINISH MY BRACKET OFF ALREADY, VCU, PLEASE.
PAC-10: 1-0 this round, 5-2 overall. Arizona decided close wasn't the way to play against Duke. Next up for them: UConn, the Big East's Great White Huskie Hope.
Atlantic 10: 0-1 this round, 3-3 overall. Richmond Spiders go squish. Still, that's .500 for a three-bid conference, and not bad.
Mountain West: 0-2 this round, 4-3 overall. ;_; Over .500, but that's two of my Final Four falling.
CAA: 1-0 this round, 5-2 overall. A lot closer near the end this time, but VCU can shoot defensive teams out of the building. Their reward, and chance at duplicating George Mason's feat? Kansas.
So, third and fourth round total upset count: 10/24...kinda high, and most of it is VCU being on Jay Bilas-inspired rageohol. Also, note that the one-bid Horizon League has not been counted in the breakdown, but there's Butler in the Elite 8 and up against Florida. I believe we have our next Gonzaga, and probably a better one.
As a plus, I beat Pokemon Black today. *sigh*
