Somewhere between nanowrimo and wrisomifu

I actually more or less nailed October's writing goals--I completed the chapters I wanted to, by the skin of my teeth last night before bedtime. I got the short story that came back turned around, um... not within forty-eight hours, but pretty promptly! And I started the new short story, longhand, so it's started. That totally counts.

For November I am attempting to write a chapter a week of novel, because I have run out of backlog to show the people I'm showing it to on a weekly basis, and now I have to write faster or they will be disappointed. Or possibly they wouldn't notice and then I would be disappointed; either way I need to write fast to avoid disappointment. If I write a chapter a week this month--so four chapters--I think I'll be really fairly close to being finished by the end of the month. Or. Well. Within sight, surely. I suspect.

Also in November I would like to finish the short story I've started, and once again turn around any short story that comes back within a few days. Next time it probably won't require me to go to the post office, so I won't have to wait for a Wednesday.

(Also also in November I would like to write a total of 50,000 words on these and other projects. I have made a spreadsheet and everything. As of this writing I've got 1,086 words down, 48,914 to go.)
