Life has been so full of ups and downs lately.
Down: My aunt (father's sister) has cancer, underwent chemo, had to stop because she was wasting away from not being able to eat. I have no idea what her prognosis is now.
Up: Got into Massey University. I'm finally sure that I will be going on to vet school, very soon. Down: It is thousands of miles away in New Zealand. Up: I have interviews with two other schools that are a bit closer. Down: They are two days in a row- One on my birthday in Washington DC and the next in Canada.
Down: Sarah is leaving today to go to NZ for a whole four months. Up: She will have a great time and everything will be fine.
Down: My father has cancer also. Up: it is early stage and *hopefully* it will be resolved by surgical removal in April. If my mom hadn't pushed for the tests, I fear we would not have been so lucky. Fucking doctors.
Down: I just found out today while working that my college advisor and trusted mentor Stefan Bodnarenko died unexpectly yesterday; I can't even attend any services because they're at the end of this week in New Jersey.
I wish there were more ups. I wish everyone was happy, healthy, and alive.
