Ripping usable VOBS from Pirates of The Caribbean DVD's

Sep 19, 2011 21:01

I'm running Windows XP and normally use DVDecrypter to rip my DVDs.

Pirates 2,3 & 4 (thanks Disney) won't rip with DVDecrypter so I went and used Anydvd running the background to bypass protection and then used DVDecrypter. It appeared to have worked but the vobs it created won't open in VdubMod which I use for clipping.  These vobs will play in powerDVD & VLC on my computer .
I have also tried using DVDShrink but I get cyclic redundancy check messages when it attempts to back up the main feature only.

Does anyone have any suggestions or can tell me how they managed to get mpeg/avis from these protected DVD's?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm not a techie so please bear with me.
