Danish Anti-Piracy Group Tells DVD Ripper Who Turned Himself In That It Won't Sue Him

This is a relevant story to vidders. Has anyone been following it? Maybe we should all band together and turn ourselves in to some anti-piracy group and get a confirmation that we will not be sued. LOL. Of course you never know how it would go here in the US or in other countries, and the group's statement that they won't go after this man does not actually bar an individual company from suing him. I wonder if there are any actual legal ramifications for what happened. It seems to at least establish the idea of good faith in fair use. So if he were to get sued in the future, there is a very public event which establishes his intent to follow the law and have the law clarified. Don't know if that would help.

Either way, I like this man's style. He has at least accomplished important some important awareness raising in terms of showing how anti-circumvention laws contradict copyright laws. Ballsy and awesome.
