Start vidding for the Escapade vid show!
I'd like to encourage all the vidders out there, especially if you vid in slash fandoms, to start thinking about submitting a vid for the Escapade convention 2009 vid show in early March 2009. Escapade is a long-running "slash slumber party" convention held in Ventura, Calif., and its vidshow is one of the granddaddies of shows. Information on deadlines and such is forthcoming, but the basic info is there at the site to get your mind percolating on some vid ideas.
There are very few hard and fast rules for the show -- although slash is the main focus of the con, it is by no means a requirement for a vid to be shown (character studies are also extremely popular, and themes range all over the place!). It also doesn't have to be a never-before-shown-anywhere premiere -- recent vids that you think might go over well to an enthusiastic, vid-hungry audience are welcome! And you can submit more than one vid, as well. You don't have to be an attending member or supporting member to submit, although attending members do get priority, particularly in multiple submissions.
