Bonjour!
Bonjour from Quebec! This is the first time I've updated in Canada, though I have an earlier entry typed up that I need to post. We're on day 5 of our Canada trip. My parents are visiting me at the moment, and after a day in Boston we drove to Montreal (which took us about 10 hours, with all the stops). We took a tour of Montreal the next day, and then the day after we drove to Quebec via the backroads, so we could see the countryside. Yesterday we went on an all-day tour of Quebec. The city is beautiful! Very European. Everybody speaks French (and of course I forgot my dictionary). But, unlike in France, the people try to translate and communicate with those of us that don't speak French, and even do so happily. We did a city tour in the morning and then after lunch went on a tour to the falls and on the island of Orleans. We're going back today to wander in the better areas, like the area below the chateau and the alleyway where all the artists hang out and display their work. Dad's feet are bothering him so it'll just be mom and me today.
