Well, actually yesterday was. I dropped Deb off for her Emmaus Walk, continuing my duties as her sponsor. On my way to her house, I thought about my walk back in February and everything she was about to experience. I found myself wiping tears from my eyes.
The pilgrims looked so scared and apprehensive as they were about to depart. I commented on that to Herman and Evy. She laughed. "You should have seen the look in your eyes!"
Today, I'm delivering an afghan - a throw, not a dog - to Deb because she said she might be cold in the dormitory. I hope she is enjoying herself.
