In an attempt to make my week a little brighter (and to keep myself from churning out that last page or so of my Film final), I'm actually writing in my livejournal
( Read more... )
At present: "Wuthering Heights" - Kate Bush (you need to hear it..if only to say that you have) Red Dirt (slow Southern drama...very good, very leisurely)
I will download it! But your comment has made me a little wary...
And slow and leisurely will be good, as I try to immerse myself in sociological principles that I have been slacking on for the last five weeks. Perhaps I should just watch Gone with the Wind... I haven't seen that in years.
That song will now forever make me think of you. By the way, thank you for your card/letter thing - it seriously made my birthday/month better to know that -- well, I'm not going on my tirade here. I wasn't going to say anything about it (since you are in return getting one, I am just lazy and forget to actually mail things) but I thought it would be rude not to say anything while communicating with you.
And also, I can't believe I've never seen Spaceballs. Mental note.
The Goo Goo Dolls 'Dizzy Up the Girl' album is really good overall, and I like the Rolling Stones a lot. I really like their new album, 'A Bigger Bang.'
Sci fi pictures-Raptor Island. I’m watching it right now and I couldn’t possibly think of any way to make the film better. It’s sci fi cheese at its best, and you know I’m somewhat of a connoisseur when it comes to terrible movies.
Oh and go here; myspace.com/melodiousowl. Listen to the song dance fever revisited
Just the name of it is exciting me at the thought. I have been in the mood to watch Jurassic Park or something else with raptors for like a month. I'm also impressed that you could spell connoisseur... obviously college has taught you something it has not taught me.
The dialogue is flawless, I can’t imagine someone not enjoying it: -If I didn’t know any better I’d say this is a raptor. -… (dramatic pause/actor forgot his line) -But it can’t be because they’ve been extinct for millions of years. -Well I guess no one told them that. ::cocks gun::
Songs: Estranged by Guns N' Roses (had to be, really) No Rain by Blind Melon Dragula by Rob Zombie (actually, anything that Nos told me to download in this post Movies by Kryah (get it at their site, Kryah.co.uk I second Wuthering Heights by Kate Bush, too.
Movies: The Terminal American History X The Breakfast Club Batman Begins
Just a selection of what I've been watching recently. I think everyone's "all time greats" would generally mesh over each other. I mean, a good few people would list Lost Boys or Stand By Me or The Crow or One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest... well, there would be an overlap, I think.
Thank you very much! I think there'd be a good deal of overlap too, though I think half the reason my friends are so great is because all of you have such diverse taste! But still, I'll definitely download the music (I've actually seen almost all of the films!), and thanks especially for the links.

--not really my favorite at all, but hey, they say "Who needs boys when there's Lisa around?"
Spaceballs: one of my favorite comedies. They say "all for naught" in there.
