End of a long week. Today I did the preflight checklist with a real bird in the chocks. We practiced acting as the flight crew, physically preparing the air vehicle for flight, and as the Operator in the shelter, running down the checklist, making sure the software and the bird are working properly. We did everything except for taxiing and taking it off. It was very cool to be doing the real thing!
I'll post again later with more details. I should be finishing up here in late August, taking 2 weeks off, and starting at my first duty station (Savannah, GA) in early September.
