Family = Suck

A lot of equations have drawn me to this mathematical and logical conclusion.

That being said, the next time my sister threatens to punch me in the face or beat me up, I will egg her on. I will egg her on, then I will shove her.

"If you shove her, sweetheart, she'll escalate. And then you'll be stuck with a choice: fight her, or quite possibly die."

Ali, sporting some bruises and bandages as she is, might just know what she's talking about today.

Pause. Peer! "What happened?"

"Fighting, you know, with Gil. As in we were working together, not that he hurt me. And I know you want to. But what good will it do to sink to her level? You're better than that."

"Oh, okay. 'M glad you ain't hurt."

She was pacing, trying to stay with deep breaths. "It wouldn't do me any good. But maybe one really good push'll mean she'll shut her mouth every once an' a while."

"And! Those little spiteful looks she gives me. There's only so much I can...I can't..."

"I know how hard it is, Victor. I do. And you don't have to endure it. But violence begets violence, darling, and you can't defend yourself."

"Maybe I can. Maybe, if I wanna push her badly enough, just this once, it'll go well f'r me."

She paused in her pacing, looked up. And for a moment, she looked a tiny bit scared. And she nodded.

She sighs, and pokes Victor's arm. "Really?"

Nod-nod-nod.

Nod!

"Yeah."

Another poke. "Really."

[victormakesart]

She set her jaw. "One solid push. Yeah."

[vicioussweetie]

Another poke. "Then it should be pretty easy to stop me from poking you, don't you think?"

"Should be, but I dun really mind thatcha pokin' me."

It should be easy to note that she spoke faster, and slurred more, when she was upset.

Another poke. "Try anyway. Call it practice."

"I should...but...I just...I don't wanna."

She was hard to provoke, really. And she didn't really get violent or physical about anything.

But she really wanted to shove her sister.
