Vic's bachelor party is broken into three parts, one for each bachelor, although Vic's third has Cole in it, too, and James' third is mostly... reverse-dressing entertainers. Who keep finding their way accidentally in Victor's section (perhaps because James sends them, perhaps because she gives each one a trenchcoat to borrow and a mug of cocoa

At the beginning of the night, James had found Victor, shook her hand, and promised he'd be on his best behavior. Then planting a kiss on her cheek and shooing her off to her corner, he'd turned back to his drawing board and suppressed the urge to laugh. Or just chuckle in a maniacal manner. Two hours and ten clothed strippers later, James knows that he has to step up his game.

"Okay, men, women, and otherwise," he says, leaning towards the remaining strippers. "Time to get serious."

Victor, in Victorland, is unaware of what's going on, though she did plan for a little bit of deviousness (as evidenced by her pile of coats).

It's then that a certain someone enters the party. At least a someone who looks like a certain someone and oh he heads right to James. Who could it be?

James reaches out to the new arrival and shakes his hand. "Glad you could make it. The young lady over there - the one with the blue sweater, yes - that's who I'm employing you for. Consider it a challenge. She's a little shy."

And that's how someone /very/ convincingly dressed up as Batman comes walking across the room to Victor.

Victor actually giggles, hand pressed to her lips and she gets squirmy the way she does when she has really big news, and she tucks her hair behind her ear, and waves hello, with that huge manic grin on her face.

While outside of the costume this guy doesn't sound particularly masculine at all, in the costume he's got the growl down pat. It's almost like he's done these sorts of parties before. (Hey, it's the Nexus. You do what pays.)

"Hello," he says with that growl. "I understand this is your party."

She nods her head, face blushed right up, and she rubs at her arm and she is getting squirmy again, like there is only the briefest thread of self-control keeping her from hugging him. "Yeah," she says, voice high and shy.

"It's good to meet you." He's totally invading her personal space and has a /smirk/ on under that mask.

Hey, personal space can totally get invaded for Batman and people who dress like Batman. It's in her rulebook. "It's really good to meet you, too."

"Would you like to find someplace to sit down and get.. comfortable?"

Any outside observer would be struck by the sheer absurdity of this situation and perhaps be unable to keep themselves from laughing.

"Sure!" she chirps, leading the way to a couch so that they both have room to sit down. Clearly no one can be this oblivious. No one but Victor, who very clearly is that oblivious.

Victor is completely capable of being this oblivious. 'Batman' sits down beside Victor and reaches out to brush her hair back.

Blush, because hello, he looks like Batman, and he is flirting with her. This is pretty much the most exciting day ever.

It doesn't take much to make Victor happy, does it? His other hand comes to sit on Victor's knee, lightly. "Your friend over there said you were shy."

Woah, dude. Woah. This. Is. Epic. It's going to be written in her diary with little hearts later. "Yeah, I, um. Yeah, totally."

"You don't seem so shy to me." He lets his hand cup her face properly, leaning in.

Her stomach is doing jumping jacks right now, and she is definitely flushed up and she wets her lips and says, "Oh, well, you know how it goes."
