I've been steering clear of them because they make me feel sorry for myself for not having a significant other, but will occasionally indulge myself. I made up my mind after watching 27 Dresses that I was going to avoid them, and this report has only strengthened my resolve.
Then I begin to wonder if books are more realistic than films... I study the suspension of disbelief in my research. Does this suspension of disbelief then lead to greater repercussions like unrealistic expectations and self-delusions (not that the suspension of disbelief is not a self-delusion in and of itself).
Now I'm going to go pet the cat. Because I have one to pet at home. :-)
