More like Saturday Night Dead, am I right? Har har har har.

For those of you who have forgotten SNL is still on, or refuse to tune in due to the nigh depressingly bad writing on the show, kudos. There were a couple of decent skits on last Saturday's episode (not my choice to watch, but what could I do). Ashton Kutcher hosted, and I must say, I have to give him credit for being actually kind of funny. If you can find them online, the Death By Chocolate and Amy skits were actually pretty good. Also, the Paralyzed Stripper skit was pretty good, if only for Andy Samberg's facial expressions. Everything else in the show was terrible.

I'm not going to blame the cast for the awful shows they've been making. Hell, even Keenan Thompson's acting in the last episode was ok. The writers need to be dragged into the street and shot. The only thing wrong with the cast is they are all supporting players. There aren't any "superstar" talents. When Will Farrell was on before he did major work outside of SNL, people who didn't watch the show still knew who he was. You can't really say that for anyone in this cast.

I mean, come on, they resorted to Polish jokes in Weekend Update (which was particularly bad). Really? Polish jokes? What is this, 1973? Oh, boy, I hope they do a blonde joke next week. It'll be so edgy.

Kids in the Hall is still funny.
