Having amazing friends is a gift. Having to say goodbye to them...no not goodbye, cause it's not forever...having to say "i'll see ya around sometime" is something extremely difficult to say. Although you know the friendship will not break, and your friend is onto bigger and better things, you still want them there with you. to get coffee. to play monopoly. to watch a movie. to drive around with. to laugh with.
This week, I had three going away parties to attend. One was for Jennie and Lance who will be studying abroad in Italy for the summer. One was for Amy Angela who will be studying abroad in London for the summer. And one was for Crystal who moved away to Chicago because she was signed to agency.
Although it's not forever, it's tough to deal with at times. But life goes on. Amy will learn in London. Crystal will learn from her experiences in Chicago. And I will be learning of course in Detroit. Visits will be made. E-mails will be sent back and forth. And change will happen.
I don't think I say it enough, but I love my friends. They make me, well, me.
