why? it upsets me that you feel that way. just be who you are. say what you think &do what feels right.

i think it's amazing that we live in this country. we are given so much freedom. i think unless i lived in the netherlands or france (there are probably a few more.. in europe, that is), i would never be allowed this much freedom. the majority of my family live in italy, and the freedom there is nothing like it is here.

the authorities are given so much power, but they don't put it to a good cause.

what place? london? in comparison to where? if it's a matter of security, do you really feel safe anywhere?

the human race is a disease. i agree with you on that one.

i know we get a lot of opportunity here, and the education is better than most places, i think.

did u mean 'and they dont' or 'but they do', cos i wouldnt agree with the latter..

yeah, london. its not about feeling safe, its more about knowing you dont have to look over your shoulder (metaphorically, i dont actually do that) all the time. everytime i pass in n out the tube and have to walk under the odd six cctv cameras i get a little sick. i dont agree with all that 'only criminals have something to fear' bs.

people here are too caught up with procedures and rules, some people think there should be no compromise at all. they live like machines and just regurgitate what theyre given from higher places.

i dont wanna say too much rly. i think sometimes, when im wealthy enough, i'll have a house, a place to stay, in a quiet town, maybe in america, in one of the smaller states, or somewhere tropical, or just nearly empty. just away.
i'd just like if there was a place i could go to thats away from everything else, sorta.. =/

i know, and im thankful for a lot of things that i get from this country, but i think im allowed to have dislikes too.

i shouldnt have said 'people'. i guess i was thinking of authority more.

freedom of speach isnt as great as it should be. jesus, you can get 6 months for spitting at a police officer because its considered 'assault'. i think thats a joke. and assault is pretty much whatever an officer may feel like at the time.

i guess i just have a problem with authority.

i keep on trying to get the same thing across to you.. you have freedom here, which means even authority is extremely laid back in comparison to most other countries.

if you dont like authority (whether that is here) or authority in general, then youre going to find it very hard in life. someone is always going to be higher than you. always. everyone should be treated equal, but then we wouldn't have roles. also, there could be a question of communism there.. but whether we like it or not, there IS a system. we are all part of it. we are all allowed to dislike things about the country, but i think you have written about small things that arent a problem ( ... )
