I don't know how good spiced tea is for you, or how bad too much can be... but I've been drinking it quite a bit. It's so nice ...! (cinnamon and black pepper? among other things, like cardomom, or something..)
I made a little a6 sketchbook today using bits of another sketchbook and bound it with that plastic wire stuff that you twist around and around to close up things like small plastic food packaging..
The wires are twisted on the other side and stretched along the spine.
Im quite happy with it =].
I recently bought a book called 'How to be an Explorer of the World', which is written and illustrated beautifully. It's meant to inspire people to be creative and be more in touch with their senses and the world around them in its entirety; view the world in almost a completely non-objective way and communicate with it, document it, Explore it.. Be creative and have fun! I've partly dedicated my new sketchbook to be used with this new book.
HUmmmmmm... I know it's not like I need this book to be creative or anything, but I think I'll enjoy reading what it has to say. I think it'll be good for me to loosen up some more with my art - I think schooling has a constricting effect sometimes. I don't intend to create lots of nice little pieces of modern, illustrative art which usually has that defining flat, abstract look to it that you see a lot of in blogs and other various sources from the interwebs. I like most of it, but when I see too much of it, it starts to feel quite generic.
Then again, fuck it, right? It doesn't need to look terribly amazing. It's all expression, after all =] ..
