So, I saw the Polysics play on Wednesday, and that was the best twelve and a half dollars I have ever spent or will ever spend. One of the opening acts was almost cool at times, but their lead singer was the result of what happens when Robert Plant is allowed to live with the Hobbits at the Shire for a little too long, and their bassist (who apparently just plays with them live and isn't a fully-fledged member of the band) gave off the biggest pedo vibes I can conceive of. Shaggy long brown hair, thin moustache, tight purple shirt, and a brown leather trench coat.
Here is some evidence. Yeah, mostly pretty bad. But I didn't really understand how bad they were until the Polysics hit the stage.
Holy fuck, man. I feel compelled to go buy an album of theirs since the show was so cheap. If you are not familiar with them, you should probably just go out and buy their album immediately without thinking twice.
Otherwise... do I really want to talk about life? Nope, not really!
P.S. I was also impressed? edified? pleased? to hear Ministry's "Thieves" in the Polysics' collection of tunes played during their set-up time (amongst Dead Or Alive, Human League, A-Ha, etc.). I was probably the only one in the audience who was, but... yeah.
