[Capa had a mound of papers in front of him, entering each into his laptop. He frowned occasionally, trying to read his own handwriting or Hayley's through a blur caused by water smearing the ink. He was nearest to the door so that he could reach over and open it when she came.]
[Hayley had packed a bag that she left in her room, then wandered casually to Capa's to try to find the man. When he wasn't there, she wrote a note telling him to try to get some sleep and signed it, leaving it for him to find later that night. Then she made her way up to the lab, smiling contentedly with Harvey's coin in her pocket, despite the moral dilemma that was eating away at her.
Arriving at the lab, she knocked lightly and waited patiently.]

"Hey." [She echoed, stepping into the lab and allowing the door to close behind her. Hayley frowned at the mess that was their notes, immediately moving to begin organizing the stacks.] "Wow, I didn't realize it got this bad."
"I also might have dropped a few of them in water." He sighed as he thought about it, but pointed to the laptop screen. "I'm going to put them in here, just to keep a copy of it. Of course, this is more likely to have something wrong with it than the hard copies, but it'll do."
He shrugged and stood up, reaching into his pocket to pull out another comm. It was smaller than his own and a soft shade of blue, but it was the same thing. He reached over to loop it around her neck. "It's just a high tech calculator right now, basically, but the personality is there. It's not linked to mine, though. Maybe one day."

"Thanks. I'll.. re-organize this stuff. I mean, not right now, because I have to go talk to someone and then.." She waved a hand dismissively. The more important thing was what she had come to talk about.
Hayley turned to look at him just in time to have the comm slipped around her neck and immediately her mouth dropped open. Both hands lifted it to look and admire, but her excitement waned as he finished explaining. She took a beat to ensure her tone was sincere and not accusative in the slightest, despite her disappointment. "Why don't you want them linked?"

"You don't have to reorganize it. I'll do it as I type it in." He rubbed his face to address her question. "Because you never explained to me why you wanted it like that." He shrugged casually.
"And I can always go back and ask the Admiral to modify it. I just wanted to make sure you could have it for right now."

"Oh.. thanks. So if I tell you why I want it, you'll think about adding it?" She asked quietly, admiring the comm and smiling. Although it wasn't quite what she had been hoping for, it was a good start and his willingness to adjust it reassured her of the potential. The inmate gave him a smile before tucking the comm beneath her shirt. Just feeling it close to her heart was more comforting than she would admit and the smile that sneaked on her lips after was a subtle display of that pure contentment.
Because Capa told her not to worry about organizing for now, she pulled up a stool and took a seat nearby him, planting her hands on the edge and watching him. "Can we still talk about what happened.. with Sveta?"

"Yes. Later," he said to her first comment. "I do want to get your thoughts on this most recent situation first." He glanced around. "Did you want to talk about it here or did you want to walk?" This was going to be a very uncomfortable conversation for them, he knew it, and he wanted to try and keep it as civil as possible.

Hayley nodded to the first, then shifted uncomfortably. She understood that question as an insinuation of the mood of the conversation to come and it made her nervous. Her smile faded and she glanced around. "We could walk in the CES, if you wanted? Otherwise, I think I'd rather stay here."
Hayley took a deep breath, unconsciously kneading the edge of the stool with her hands. Her eyes wandered away from him for a moment as she searched for the words, then she looked straight at Capa again. "I don't know how I feel about it. Like, Cooper killed her and I get why he did it, but I'm.. not sure if she deserved it. I don't know if I agree or not."
She dropped her eyes to her hands for a beat. It was obvious that she was unsettled by that realization, that she didn't have all the answers and it wasn't all so black and white anymore.
Would you rather do this in person? I have something for you.

"What do you think about it? Did you have something specific about it that you wanted to discuss?"
