Tango
Today was the first new day in a long time.. thursday through yesterday were all one big day to me
Tonight was my first tango class with Alex and Carrie Krebbs.. oh my gosh, I absolutely love it! I can't really explain what it is about tango that appeals to me so much but I am just captivated by it.. Traci is learning along with me, and I am so happy that she is. After class we went to fabric depot where I got some ill boltage, and then me and Traci practiced dancing and hung out with Mikee, Davis, and his homeboy. When it got late we went to the Bear Paw pub, a sad little depressing bar down the street that was playing KUFO the stupid "hard rock" station all night, and played pool and chess to the tunes of Rob Zombie, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, and horrible new Nu-Metal. Traci beat me by a little bit at everything.. =) I hate bars, I wish other fun crap was open late. After that we came back and just finished watching Legend, which I liked alot. I know I've seen it before, but I forgot everything that happened so it felt like I was watching it for the first time.
I have a new roommate Mikee, who I like so much! I'm so happy to finally live with a dude who I like hanging out with. He instantly bonded with me, Katie, and Traci, if that tells you anything about how cool he is. And tonight was my first time ever hanging out with Davis.. he a really cool dude also. He's such a kid and he's like 31 =) he's going to be actually living at the house now, so we'll be hanging out more. Sweet!
There was tons of dancing this last weekend, but I was totally not feeling it almost the entire time. I finally got to dance with Katie, for the first time in SOOO long, and that was awesome.. so nice. We're at about the same level in our lindy hoppage.. which is in the mid-range of intermediate I would say, far from being advanced, but we're not bad at all, and with the right partner we both can dance awesome. I'm so glad we can finally dance well together too.
I got a Nord Lead 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the coolest synth ever! for $400! I ripped the dude off hard, it's worth at least $800.. It is so amazing. It doesn't have aftertouch though, so I might trade it and my vocoder for a Virus Indigo, which is even more my dream machine.
