Last night (Monday 7th July) I saw Panic at the Disco (again) in Southampton, these are the key facts that I thought are important enough for me to write them down and share with future generations of my family. This shall be slightly annotated with pictures and videos if I can find them. Some will be my own, some I will scope the internet for.

1) We had a 3 hour drive there
When we stopped to get food I was so filled with nervous excitement that I couldn’t actually eat the food I had purchased. So there I was, walking to the venue (of which many people had already been queuing since 8am … and this was about 5pm) I shoved them in my bag. We sat down on the steps in the middle of the venue and then like they told us we had to move from the steps and start lining up (even though there was still like an hour til the doors opened). In the process of being moved we were moved near the front of the queue. It was fab.

2) We (Mel and I) made friends with the girls in front of us
When we were in said queue, we ended up talking to the girls stood in front of us, including a group of friends and a girl and her mum. They were all super sweet and we had similar tastes in most things. We spent about an hour and a half discussing Panic and the general Decaydance pets and other bands that we’ve been to see and past gig memories. They also were able to tell us who the support acts were before we went in (so it wasn’t a total surprise) and had been there since Panic had arrived. Apparently they came in taxi’s even though their tour bus was right there. Linked to this is the knowledge that …

3) Keltie was there! ^^ (as was Cassie, but not Haley)
The girls were showing us the pictures they’d got of them going in the venue and I was like *points at camera screen* ‘KELTIE!’ So then we had to obviously have the obligatory ‘Keltie is so hot and amazing’ conversation. It was good.

4) When we did get in, I was 2 people away from the front
After our tickets were scanned and they checked my bag to make sure I wasn’t trying to bring in something to hit them with, we got into the MASSIVE ballroom and then made our way down to the front and by the time everyone was in we were so close I knew I was going to be set! Lol

5) The support acts were really good
Now normally I’d got on about the support acts but this time I think the main event was a little bit more exciting. That being said they were good. I can’t remember either of their names but the first act was a guy with an acoustic guitar and one guy with a snare drum playing songs. It was good, the songs were funny and there was even one about a girl called Melanie, so Mel was like ‘IT’S ME!’ lol. The other support act were alright but they kept making us bounce and we were so squashed and being pushed like fuck that the little group I’d acquired were like ‘Noo!’ every time he asked us if we were ready to dance. They were good though and their guitarist was funny and the singer had great hair and was jumping all over the place so was v. entertaining to watch. But then … after much more pushing and shoving and sweat and water came …

6) PANIC AT THE DISCO!
Okay so if I am honest I don’t really know what to say here. It was just fucking fantastic. Like, I would write a run down of everything but I don’t remember everything in that much detail because it was a blur of amazing. What I do know is that Shane (looking fucking beautiful may I add) was talking to the crowd and giving hugs over the barrier, I wasn’t quite close enough *sadface* and Zach was sitting on the amps near us refusing to give hugs and high fives but pulling funny faces for Shane. Genius little couple really but with all the videoing and photography, it was a nice lead up to when they did come on stage.

7) I love Ryan Ross *shameface*
At this juncture I would like to point out I sooooo totally blame notfarfromhome for this fact. I had even been able to avoid Joel’s love for him getting to me but after seeing his adorable little face in her picspams I grew to like him more and then last night he was just .. guh. I can’t even remember what song it was now, but someone had either thrown pink flashing bunny ears up to the stage or they were just there near Spencer’s kit, so at the start of whatever song it was Ryan goes over and puts them on and plays for like the rest of the song avec pink flashing bunny ears (like the ones I have) and then when he does take them off it’s like *OMFG sex hair*

… I can’t deny that the Ryan was also nice.
(I intend to post bunny ear pictures when I get my hands on some)

More Ryan information from the night was that:
- his face is adorable
- his legs are very skinny but it’s good
- his little smile down to us was adorable
- he waved … how nice

There will be more Ryan later.

8) Jon Walker was shoeless.
Now this is no real revelation, he often likes to play shoeless but I feel like this really was an important fact for me. I mean when I saw them in March he was wearing Vans and I was like *pout* because wearing shoes defeats the essence of Jon in my eyes, so for him to go one step further than just the flip flops and going hardxcore shoeless, well … that makes me squee.

9) Spencer could not be more hot if he tried
So the other day when I was getting ready for the summer ball, I was discussing avec Raven that I miss slightly chubby woman Spencer circa 2006. A.k.a

HOWEVER. After seeing him live … in the flesh … not just like on a screen with that sexy little bandana and guh … well lets just say, we’ll leave all love for femme!spencer in the spank bank for now and celebrate the god of sex he has become

GUH.
End of.

10) Brendon was adorkable as always but he doesn’t know shit about jazz
… but we’ll get to that later
After he’d been all adorable all show and let Jon and Ryan do most of the talking to the crowd, as normal really, but his faces! *cuddles him* So cute. So so painfully cute. Plus he was just generally nice and when he played the acoustic Time to Dance he told us he fucking loved us (d’aww) and played it beautifully.

You can find it here:

I love the extrodinarily high note and then just going back into the sentence lol

Folkin’ Around was also just … beautiful. I got my favourite bits on my phone, but that was amazing in general because Ryan and Jon switched sides so I got some Jon Walker, up close and personal. Him singing Northern Downpour was also a favourite of the night.

11) Brendon and Ryan are blaterz gay for each other
Now we knew this already really but I just thought I would restate it. They had a moment in almost every song where they played to each other like so …

And Ryan kept finding excuses to sing into the same mic as Brendon so much so that one time just as Ryan came up to do it Brendon pulled away so it was just Ryan. Oh you guys! Lol

SIDENOTE:: Spencer and Jon also got a little moment together at one point where Jon went over and played the bass at him and they exchanged adorable little smiles. Oh how I love their understated romance! =)

12) JAZZ HANDS!
So I don’t know if they did this on the HCT as well or if it’s just since Glasto but when it came to ‘Tables’ Ryan took over and was like:

‘What do you guys know about Jazz?’ and when no one could give a definite answer he then asked ‘What about Jazz hands?’ and gave us some for good measure.

And from that moment he somehow got clicking on verses and waving around jazz hands in the air to the chorus. This … was a lot of fun. Even more so when Ryan joined in lol He clicked with us on all the verses, although his hands looked odd when he clicked. Like, it didn’t look like he was doing it right, very odd indeed.

Yet the best moment was after he’d asked us about our knowledge of Jazz Brendon was like:

“I don’t know shit about jazz and I don’t know jazz about shit.”

Classic.

13) Party Rings and Ryan’s glasses
So! After the show, which as stated, was amazing, me and Mel made the executive decision that because we didn’t really have enough money for merch we were just going to go outside, say goodbye to the girls we’d made friends with and wait to see them come out and since Mel was driving home there was no time limit. This proved to be benifical because 1 ½ hours later (yeah, you heard me) they did finally leave the building. Now, some would call me mad for waiting so long but after the first 45 mins you might as well stay right? That and we were talking to Shane and Zach so it wasn’t like a problem … just very very cold and we were already kinda tired.

So when they came out Brendon and Spencer came out first and I did emit a small ‘I love you Spencer’, but really I can’t be blamed for those actions when they are like a foot away from me. And then Jon and Cassie and I did spaz a bit of a ‘WOO JON WALKER’ … which I now am embarrassed about but at the time, in that moment, it just happened. And then last were Ryan and Keltie. Ryan was styling it up in some glasses that made me love him even more, but Keltie just kinda walked into the bus and left Ryan outside a little longer which is a shame because I would have liked to drool over her a little bit. Ryan was eating party rings and threw some out to us as like a thank you for waiting.

Now you see the thing is, at this point, this group of people (who had started to sing when they came out, the reason I think Brendon made his walk to the bus a very quick one) were then all like ‘You can’t even stop and say hello the fans that have waited for you? Wankers!’ when they were on the bus, and I started to get a little pissy and here is why. Earlier Zach had explained that it was his choice whether the boys stay out and sign shit and for tonight he’d decided not to. He explained this to everyone at the beginning of the wait, so then why and hour and a bit later did they not remember this? Why were they not happy just to see them, grab a party ring and go?

14) To conclude…
I feel like I’ve said enough about it all now. I am currently sitting in my living room, in my Pornomine t-shirt I got in March, looking at the pictures I just printed out at work and going *smile*, so to allow you all to join in with this joy … have some pictures that I took =)

Now as much as I have found this new love for Mr Ryan Ross … the fact that he KEPT standing in front of Spencer (the love of my life only second to Patrick mo’ fo’ing Stump) Smith, was a bit annoying.

Exhibit A of the Beauty of Brendon Urie

Exhibit B. Can I just point out as well that I really love this picture, like really. It just is nice, and not bad for a camera phone.

and lastly from me …

Zach and Shane just kicking it back with the fans.
OH! And at one point Zach cut through us a little and was like ‘Everyone get in front of me’ and these girls like clung onto him in a hug (which they’d been asking for for ages) and he was like ‘This is a little bit too in front of me’

… other great Zach quote of the evening, when some girl called herself a woman he was like:

“You’re 18, you’re still a girl. My Mom’s 60, now she’s a woman.”
ily Zach ♥

……………………… and just because I want this to end on a high

I promise I am seriously done now.

(p.s. I know that intro was pretty randomly serious but I wanted to set a tone for the importance of the event you know lol)

(p.p.s. I really did intend for this to be a short one, but at least with the subheading you can pick which bits you wanna read =D)

spencer = guh, patd
