[Scribbles on the white board, doesn't turn around.]

I hope you know you suck at this game.

Which one shows up in the blood? Kuru? That's the one yeh get from eatin' brains, right?

[open next to her is a huge book on diseases]

All of the diseases should technically appear in the blood stream, yeah. And it isn't always brains. It's mad cow infected meat.

[Fishes out a coconut dum dum from his lab pocket. House tosses the lollipop over his shoulder, if she misses it she misses it.]

Well. Dunno what to say 'bout that, then.

[Catch! Unwrap, suck suck suck]

Meat here's from the deities, right? And so far we kinna figure it's not a curse.

Aren't you the self-named blood specialist?

[Pulls out a rootbeer dum dum for himself.]

Correct on both counts.

Whatever this is feels like dirt.

[Sucking thoughtfully]

Well, then it's probably not anything they ate, because the deities seem intent on keepin' our lot cursed but not dead for long.

Did you wash your hands?

[Turns away from the whiteboard with an ew expression.]

Unless motives change. Good point.

You'd think I'd actually touch one?

[Makes an ew expression herself]

Nah, don' think it would. So yeh can pinpoint this shite to someone in the City.

'course that doesn' say what it is.

You just get a vibe from it with your sangria senses?

[Shakes his head and thoughtfully sucks on the lollipop.]

Personally I don't think 'it feels like mud' is accurate enough to rule out Kuru. But if someone has been contaminating the food or contaminating something else to invoke Kuru...

Yep.

So what are the other symptoms?

Difficulty communicating--because of the laughing, clumsiness. No hallucinations. The hysteric laughing would be part of the dementia if it is Kuru.

Huh.

[Sucks on her lollipop]

So how do you fix it?

Fix CJD? There isn't a surefire quick fix. There have been modifications in the malaria vaccine to treat the symptoms but ultimately there is no cure just yet.

[Shifts sucker to the other side of his mouth.]

There have been successful short term cases with Pentosan polysulfate injections into the ventricular system.

Hell if I'm healin' anyone.

So lets get with those injections, yeah? Only don' make me do it, that's a bad idea.

I was so going to ask you. Not.

No treatment until the diagnosis is confirmed. The MRI results are being expedited.
