Hugh at the Hammersmith Apollo
Andrea (sam_doc) and I had a bloody amazing weekend, but she deserves an awesome post all to herself describing what we did and how fun it was meeting Louise, (suddenlyisee3) so this one is just dedicated to our evening with Hugh! :D
We met up with Helen (helen_of_troy29) around half four to go around to Hammersmith and meet some other fans at the aptly named pub, The Laurie Arms. Although we got there first and had to grab a large table which then wasn't big enough, the build up was fun! Ash (ashingtonrave) and Karen (kazzie89) came by soon enough and it was lovely to meet people again and for the first time! Soon after Rachel (rockinrach08) came by and joined us, followed by lots of twitter people, fluffy0705, RedTulipAna, HuddyItaly, Visitkarte, GabbyG77, LaShao and Chocoloula all organised by the ever so coconutty Caty (coconut_ice22)!
We snacked on Thai food and then went on to the venue, which is extremely big and so different from his other London gigs. It's a huge step from, I'm not sure if I'm good enough, but I'll try it out, to I love this and I want to do this for the rest of my life. It makes me happy. :3 There was a wonderful support act who was apparently introduced by Hugh, though we weren't there to see this part, and I'd like to find out more about her. What a fabulous voice!
The show started about 8:30 and he was amazing! I know, you all know and expect this, but he really has come on in the year he's been performing. He sounds and looks comfortable on stage and happy in his role as musician and it's great to see. His voice is better, and even if he dances like a dad at a family party, we couldn't not enjoy ourselves. Just, brilliant! The new songs he played were really up beat compared to most of the first album, and by the end he had everyone on their feet applauding through the entire encore. Another excellent night and I can't stop grinning! And Kevin is awesomesauce as usual. Love that man. :3

I know I've watermarked them, and I am not big on that, but I have noticed a lot of my art work floating about on tumblr/lj/twitter without credit and it's a bit annoying tbh. I hate to do it, so I've made it as light as possible, I hope it doesn't annoy anyone! If you would like to share and credit please do. :3
