- Finally finished cleaning out my grandmother's house last night. My Dad signs the papers today for the sale. It's not as sad as I thought it would be. Mainly, because all the stuff that made it feel familiar is now piled up at my parents house or stacked up in boxes in my hallway. So we still have all that stuff to sort through again and then divvy up. I don't think my mother understands the sentimental attachment I have to some things, like my grandfather's fezzes from the Shriners. She kept wanting to throw them away and I kept rescuing them. They're just a good memory of all of the parades I saw him in and all the carnivals he took me to when I was a kid. Plus, he really enjoyed being a Shriner. I hate to throw something like that away.
- My allergies have gone absolutely haywire after being in all that dust and dirt while cleaning out the garage. My sinuses will not stop draining. I really don't feel like doing anything, but I have a lot of work I need to do before the holiday.
- Does anyone know anyone that works on cars and would be interested in some Model A and Model T parts? We have some.
- After doing some garage cleanup Saturday, I went to an oyster roast to celebrate a pair of friends engagement. The oysters were very tasty. Afterwards, I went downtown to meet up with some other friends. I had forgot that the band they were going to see were know for their "wall of sound" and didn't bring my earplugs. Still it didn't seem to matter. I fell asleep at the bar leaning against a friend who made a very nice pillow and drank the beer I couldn't because I was a sleep. I seem to have amazed everyone by sleeping through an insanely loud band without even being drunk. I'm sure I'll never hear the end of this.
- As my friends and I were walking to my car after I woke up, I saw my cousin who is a cop arresting someone. It's sort of strange chit-chatting over the head of some guy pressed onto the trunk of a police car and getting handcuffed.
