Project Runway Finalists

Did anyone watch Project Runway last night?

OMG! Why the hell was Gretchen in? Her clothes were so boring and just down right horrible. Especially, that baggy butt dress. I cannot imagine a single body type that that would look flattering on. And what was the deal with the hot pants and the leather jacket thing? And the pedal pushers. Can we say bad 80's? While I think it's cool she took the time to design her own jewelry, it was also very boring and did nothing to improve her looks.

Also, I just really hate her and how she turns everything into being about herself, even something emotional and/or traumatic to someone else. She reminds me of my old neighbor that way and I have very little patience for that level of self centeredness.

As much as I love Mondo, I'm not crazy about what I've seen from his line so far. I hope it's not too clownish.

I liked Andy's but I wish the hemline on that green dress had been a little longer. Being so short and with so much going on on the bodice, it looked top heavy. I did like his head pieces though, but I'm a sucker for that sort of thing.

And poor Michael C. I loved his 11th look. That dress was so beautiful. I didn't like the one with the feather skirt. It made the model look like an ostrich. I do agree with the judges about his monochromatic color scheme. But, man, that meltdown. I could not watch that. I seriously had to walk into another room while that was going on. Excessive emotion makes me uncomfortable, apparently even on TV. That was so painful.

Even though Micheal C's collection had it's flaws, I thought it was ten times better than Gretchen's. Especially for a runway show at fashion week, you want something at least a little over the top. I wonder if they were afraid of the criticism they'd receive if they didn't have at least one woman in the final three? I hope that's not the case. I know there have been seasons where there were all women as the finalist, but not all men that I recall.
