* So yesterday I had a really bad day at work. It was like there was a line forming at my desk with people wanting things done right now. I'm sorry not everything can be done right now, I left my time- dilation device at home. You'd think after nearly disemboweled a couple of people, my supervisor included, that the rest of the office would get a clue. But, no... When I got home I drank the rest of the left over Hurricanes I made for a party a while ago and, lo and behold, Window of Opportunity was on. So I drank my Hurricane, relaxed and watched some quality Stargate.
* Speaking of Stargate, I'm not a huge rush to go out and get the Ark of Truth. The last 2 seasons did not enthuse me at all. I am eagerly awaiting Continuum though. I've also missed the last couple of weeks of Atlantis. My local music venue has had some really good bands playing on Friday nights recently, so I've actually gone out. OMG!
* A friend lent me Brisco County Jr. I used to love that show. I love Bruce Campbell anyway. Man, was he young and skinny in Brisco. I've gotten used to seeing him on Burn Notice. Brisco was a really fun show and surprisingly high quality show. It's too bad we don't get more of those.
* I guess the 'Weird West' Steampunk aspect of Brisco County Jr put me in mind of Legend. So I stopped watching Brisco and started on Legend. I'm not sure how I can express how much I love that show. It's such a shame that it got canceled. If I had to choose, I think I'd almost rather see RDA do a Legend movie than more Stargate movies. John de Lancie was freaking awesome in it as well. RDA is really a great character actor, not to mention great at comedy. It's sad we don't get to see more of that.
* Now that I'm thoroughly in the Legend (and Brisco) frame of mind can anyone rec any good Legend fics or 'Weird West' Steampunk novels?
* I saw The Other Boleyn Girl. I didn't care too much for the book when I read it several years ago. The movie was a bit different and some parts of it I liked better than the book. Usually I really like Eric Banna, but, geez, he was the most boring, bland, and one dimensional Henry VIII I've ever seen. You usually think of Henry as passionate larger than life sort of guy, but not in this flick.
