yeah I got your number. Gene is in NYC whilst I type.. may I pass along your number? he asked me for it. I will be up there October 29 through the fourth November, so we'll have to get our party on. I was going to beg you to crash on your floor, but two monkeys hopped on my bandwagon so I didn't want us all to impose. my friend offered her living room to the lot of us and she's in the East Village so we'll manage to find some parties, I'm sure. I expect you to spent lots of time with me that week showing me around the hip locales. it would be good to have such a hott tourguide, that is for shizzle. (everytime I think to call you it's one thirty in the morning, or something comparable. I will holler this week, I promise!).

and I don't have Tivo.. I was referring to crashing my sister's apartment and taking over her television. I've had some really beautiful (quiet, reserved) moments with loved ones, recently. life shouldn't be so good, all things considered. but I was told once that life was in the floundering.. and now I am beginning to believe it. xo<3

10/29 i might be in atlanta (there's the motherlode of al female sexual dysfunction conferences in atl from 10/28-halloween, if i can get some equipment together by then, i might be there doing some shooting if possible...) ,but i'll move some things around with my work schedule, and i'll happily be your nocturnal guide!!!!

gene as in eugene mcguiness? i'm curious to see how he's doing, i'm working round the clock to pay for my trip to montreal at the end of the month, but if ican fit in the time we could hang out...

yeah Eugene! he has been in the City for a few days already and shall be there until Thursday, I believe. I gave him your number so he should be contacting you soon (if he hasn't already). Atlanta for Halloweird Womyn's Conference. niiice. originally my plan to New York involved visiting YOU (and of course, the City).. so if I need to change my dates so we can spend some quality party time, I will. my roommate and friend decided they needed to go too (not without some encouragement from me) and when Demi said we'd have free lodging, it became reality. you're the one who told me the best time to go was Halloween, remember? :p we've not purchased out tickets yet. let me know.

what's in Montreal?

halloween is a lot of fun in new york!!!!! i'm telling ya the truth there...there are parties in nyc all the time...but the drag queens really only go all out twice a year and that's pride and halloween and everyone can join in on halloween..

as far as montreal, what it's in montreal is french/quebecois speaking peoples, clean streets, a feeling of safety, 99 cent pizza, good beer, good clubs, and a completely non american culture which i'm terribly interested in, my goal is to be there and escape the drama of the republican national convention which is already proven to be a powderkeg of a situation (i'm sure you know we've got terror threats for actual targets now....for once, i'm not in the mood for the political drama that will unfold during the three lame days traffic gets backed up in midtown...

well, I just hope (for your sake) that the snowbirds that migrate here for winter aren't indicative of the sort of people you might run into on the streets of Montreal..

and I think I may be coming up the 30th now- my sister is having a Willy Wonka theme party at her house that weekend and she was a bit disappointed (and resentful?) that I would be missing it. bah (!) it should be fun, though.

oh no, i checked already on lj montreal and through numerous coworkers who trekked to montreal during their college days (sort of ny rite of passage because it's right around the corner)

from waht i understand, the city if friendly enough, like any other city i would imagine and very beautiful...besides i sort of need a vacation by myself, my friends have been getting on my nerves for MONTHS!, my suburban rooommate from LA who hates this city doesn't know her next move at all as far even whether's she going to stick it out for her associates! ( her plan was three years here for a BA, i give her 3 months tops for AA, she can't seem to handle city life)

i need a lone traveler sort of quiet time to chill out in montreal parks, and time to enjoy the montreal word film fest, which will be going on mostly while i'm there...

the 30th? i'll put it in my book (when i get one, lol...) so when mcguiness got out of seeing supersize me who did we run into other than andy delgado? ralf had told me he was living in the city, but what are the chances.?

haha. I know all about people getting on nerves lately. people have been so hit and miss with me! fuck 'em, Sophie. seriouslii. I've never travelled alone as a stranger in a strange place. but I'll be moving to a city sometime next fall/winter that I don't know anyone at all (either Portland or Toronto depending on where I get in/can afford). so that will be neat, I guess. I suppose I know a couple people in Toronto. they are pretty cool, too.

anyway, that is insane about Andy! last I saw him was randomly at a Chili's in Hollyhood. he was hosting! funny how things change so quickly (because that was NOT long ago). soo random though with you being with Gene in the "big" City, and all.

and it just dawned on me that I will be missing the election on my little expedition to New York. doh! I need to get my absentee ballot junk squared away before I buy my plane ticket, for sure. fucking 'ell, there's always some sort of complication. but don't worry, I'll bother you plenty before the date draws near. I am really looking forward to seeing you!!

who knwos anymore?

anyway, i'm very pumped about seeing ya in ny!!!!! november will be COLD!!!!!!!!! bring a hat, scarf, gloves...

toronto from what i hear is a rad city, also very cold! portland is rad too, very political, great music scene...
