My Little Lucky Guy
Took him to the vet early this morning to have his little teeth cleaned. When I picked him up, I was sent home with 2 different meds. He had a bad infection in his gums, so he's going to be on amoxi-drops twice a day for at least a week. Then I got a mouth wash---yeah, right, he'll think I'm killing him yet again---to put on his teeth once a day to keep the tarter down and hopefully the bacteria, too. The vet, one I had never met who's recently come into the office w/my regular vet and is supposedly very famous in the world of canine dental stuff, wants to see him again in about 4 months. He said his little canines on the bottom were loose in the jawbone and he's a bit concerned about that. He seems to think he might have a bit of kidney failure and asked if he drank an inordinate amount of water. To be honest, I can't tell. He and Raffy both drink a lot of water every day. He seems fine, so I think he's ok for now. Mia had kidney failure and she did ok for several years. Thankfully, Raffy's healthy as a little horse. Think about my little guy. I need to try to get a decent pict of him to use.
