Speaking of the little project, I'm finding more and more enjoyment in the fine work than any other part of the project. The creating of this little granny square afghan. The other miniature quilt. Edging the old woman's satin blouse with satin ribbon and embroidery so there are no raw edges showing (and keeping the stitches appropriate size for a 12-inch figure).
When I'm doing the fine work, it's not really all that fine. I'm so blind that the stitching is done about six inches from my face and it's almost HUGE at that distance. It's really quite the shock when I put my glasses back on and see how incredibly tiny it truly is.
So when I say I get enjoyment from the little things, I just might be speaking literally!
