roundrobin - block one
I've almost got the software installed so I can scan again and then I'll post. Until then, I'll just share the excitement. I received my block - it's sharp contrast oranges, reds, blacks. The focus pattern is black with chili peppers on it. I think it's the focus because it stands out the most and you're supposed to do that with your blocks/quilts, right?
Anyway, I went through my stash and grabbed lots of possibles for the border. I think I have hit on the way to make it better. Turn it on point, echo the triangle pattern to make it square again, and then do a striped border fading dark (on the sides) to light (in the middle). And I'll echo her 1" nine-patch in the corners.
I'm taking my possibles to the guild meeting tonight. Both forestcats and twilyght will be there and they're my color monitors. I'm really pretty excited about it. Hope they are, too! LOL
